Senior Structural Engineering Software Engineer



This company is the largest structural software company in the UK and have numerous regional offices in overseas. Formed over 30 years ago, they remain both privately owned and totally committed to providing the very best software solutions for structural engineers and employ 65 staff.



They are the market leader in building structure software and we supply our products to all major fabricators and structural consultants in the UK. Our portfolio of software is continually evolving to meet the ever-increasing demands of clients.



They develop, supply and support structural engineering software to help structural engineers become more productive. This software portfolio ranges from simple low-end calculations through to solving complex 3D non-linear analysis problems; for the major construction materials of steel, timber, reinforced concrete and masonry. Much of the business is related to modern state-of-the-art building design software.



They also provide support and training services to help clients become proficient in the use of the software as quickly as possible.



Job specification



Due to expansion this company requires additional UK Regional Sales Engineers reporting directly to the Regional Sales Director, involving the following day to day activities:



* Managing your own time to achieve challenging sales targets

* Generating sales opportunities with prospective clients

* Telephone 'cold calling' and setting meetings

* Meeting with prospective client (at senior level) to assess requirements and introduce solutions

* Giving technical demonstrations of the software

* Proving the commercial and technical benefits to the client

* Closing the sale and developing the relationship



Skills required



To achieve this, we are seeking STRUCTURAL ENGINEER'S who:



* Can demonstrate commercial design experience in a Structural Engineering company, and a relevant qualification. It is likely the successful candidate should be working at Engineer or Senior Engineer level.

* Want to capitalise on their engineering experience, but who wants more than consulting engineering

* Is hungry, competitive and commercially aware

* Who wants to earn more than possible in a consultancy

* Has a confident and outgoing nature with good communication skills

* Is willing to travel throughout the UK and possibly Ireland

* Is mature enough to manage own time

* Works well in a friendly and dynamic team environment



Package



The successful candidate will be offered an excellent package including:



* Up to £50k OTE (dependent on experience)

* £22- £25k basic salary plus an attractive performance-related bonus structure
